Dinner with Friends

Even though we returned this week I still wanted to share a few Chilean posts.  Our friends from the States invited us to their home before we left.  They are an amazing family.  They have adopted several children and have several biological children as well.  They have grown married kids and their youngest is their 3 year old grandson so they have a wide variety of ages at home.

Their home was beautiful and the food was delicious.  We got to spend time with them and got to know their children as well.  They have 7 that are there with them now.  They have adopted children from the US as well as Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea.  They are  great parents with well behaved children, and I really appreciated her authenticity.  She tells it like it is which isn’t always the case with adoptive families.  Those of you who know us know the struggles that we have had.  Here are some of the pictures I took that night.

These pictures include their backyard, some of the kids playing cards with Timothy and Andrew (notice the girls ability to use their feet for their hands), the delicious Peruvian food made by their “nana”, and Andrew and their grandson.

We had a great time and I am looking forward to seeing them when we return!
