Grocery Delivery and The Good Lie

Hi!  When we were in Chile the main grocery store, Jumbo, was delivering groceries for about 500 pesos which is only about a dollar.  I don’t know why we didn’t do it.  Instead, we walked blocks with our pull carts and drug all that stuff back with usually extra bags hanging from our arms!

Well, they deliver here as well and last night I got my first delivery.  Wow!  I don’t know why I didn’t do it before.  I loved it.  I went to the website and put in my grocery list.  They have an area that you can fill in items you are looking for instead of scrolling through thousands of items.  They also have the sale items in one place.  Also, if you want to make a change to your order they give you a cut off time which was up to one and a half hours before the scheduled delivery.  Since it was my first time I got 12 pounds off (about $18) which was great, and they keep my list so I can add or delete from it.  It only cost one pound to deliver since he delivered between 10-11 last night.  You can get it earlier in the day for up to 5 or 6 pounds.  He brought it in on trays and I unloaded it on the counter and it was done.  I loved it, and can’t wait to do it again.

That shows you what kind of fun we have on the weekends!  Don’t be jealous.  :-)

One last thing, we watched a great movie last night.  It is called “The Good Lie” with Reese Witherspoon.  I highly recommend it.  It’ll make you appreciate your life, and appreciate other cultures that don’t live like we do.  I’d be interested in your view.
